The hotel is located right on Avenida Central, making it easy to explore Braga's historic sites and outdoor restaurants.
The shower's short glass made the bathroom frequently wet after use, requiring extra time to clean up after each shower.

A perfect place to stay. Wonderful food, fantastic value, centre of town, quiet, ideal small hotel. Welcoming staff throughout. Overnight parking across the road paid by the hotel. Have a great time.

The atmosphere was great. It's a beautiful old building with modern amenities. The breakfast was first class. The staff spoke very good English and could direct us to the best tourist things to see. The location was great. We were within walking disctance of the historical centre and within easy auto reach of the Bom Jesus.

The shower glass is annoyingly short, not exactly what I would call luxury. Breakfast was lacking, not a single fresh pastry in sight, but I was really expecting a complimentary bottle of wine for all my trouble. Almost gave a better review, but just couldn't, honestly.

The wonderful breakfasts and the location on the pedestrian street (on the park). Parking was easy and a great bonus. The restaurant in the hotel is fabulous. Our room was small and rather dowdy but comfortable enough with a large bathroom.
Did not like the placement of the television - up high and at an odd angle! Also, the tap for the shower was broken, we reported this; they said it was fixed and yet the next day the handle fell off again. Rather sloppy follow-up!!

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent, within walking distance of some of the best the city has to offer (imho: Cafe Vianna, Brasileira, the se de Braga, Reitoria, Porta Nova and restaurants nearby...).
Bar is small and not very confortable. But my main criticism is that if you arrive late at the hotel door you have to phone security so they let you in (a minor inconvenience if you have a working mobile with you, but...). Surely fitting a doorbell or some sort of signaler that does not disturb the other guests should not be too difficult.

charming, charming, charming
The Double Room I stayed in offered a fantastic garden view and a large window that allowed me to fully enjoy the city scenery, especially at night with the moonlight shining through. I was blown away by the excellent breakfast buffet with a variety of local breads and fruits, a perfect way to start my day. The hotel's historical ambiance combined with modern comforts provided a unique environment.
recommend 😊❤️

missingWrote a review on 07 Novcomfortable roomseasy accessinconvenient check-in
The accommodation features spacious and comfortable rooms, which enhance the overall stay. The hotel's location offers easy access to nearby shops and restaurants, perfect for exploring.
Check-in can be a hassle. Arriving guests are often met with late room availability at 3 PM, somewhat inconvenient. The breakfast experience is not up to par, costing €16 per person for a minimal selection that lacks quality compared to other local options. Showers present a challenge due to short glass partitions, leading to wet bathroom floors after use-a concern not to be overlooked. The hotel entrance may remain locked at times.

I loved the spacious suite at Bracara Augusta. The view from my balcony overlooking Jardim da Avenida Centro was fine. The hotel's historic charm. Dinner at the restaurant was a treat-especially the duck! The breakfast buffet offered good options every morning. The staff consistently were very good. They were cute, helpful, and. There were a few hiccups. The slow restaurant service during busy hours was frustrating. Getting a drink at the bar seemed like a challenge, and I ended up waiting far too long. Parking was a bit tricky too, as spaces were limited. But, I really appreciated the hotel's central location. I could easily explore Braga on foot, a huge plus for me.

Amazing stay with a cozy vibe!
This place totally surprised me! The room was super comfy with a view of the lovely garden that was great to wake up to. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with fresh local products every morning. But the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times. Still, the friendly staff was nice.
